i dont know how to make everyone "do it"     i do know that the usa is the big waster(at present)     i know i can conserve by driving less  driving slower or not driving at all   i suppose the free market will "do it" although the free market's timing may be a little off       and the cure for antrax is death

You are running through open doors with me. But conservation will only fit half the bill. The other half will have to come from investment in technology. And, of course, you are right, new technology won't get the job done, either, we need conservation on top of it. Well, we need it at the base, really.
